Melody (Mel) Lewis has worked in the talent development field for more than 25 years. She currently serves as the staff development and training coordinator for the City of Appleton, where she oversees the talent management function, along with a focus on building a positive culture to help attract and retain high-performing employees.
Prior to her tenure with the city, she served as an account executive at Kimberly-Clark in the areas of communication and training. She also served as curriculum designer for Aid Association for Lutherans (now Thrivent) and as director of communications for the Oshkosh Chamber of Commerce.
Mel holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism (public relations) and served as a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee while working on her master’s degree in organizational communication.
Mel lives in Neenah with her two dogs and “one big kid” (a.k.a., her husband, Joe).
