About Brian Rollefson

Brian Rollefson, director of human resources for Oshkosh Defense, is an employee training, engagement, talent and development, and labor relations professional.

Brian has more than 20 years of experience leading team-based operations in time-sensitive and high-stakes situations in the private sector, as well as in the military. In his current role, Brian leads the human resources function that teams with operations within the defense segment of Oshkosh Corporation. The operations team consists of more than 2,200 team members supporting the warfighter by providing life-saving tactical wheeled vehicles.

Throughout his time at Oshkosh Defense, Brian has overseen technical and soft skills training development and delivery. He also manages and leads several strategic initiatives, including material management, frontline leadership and development, line-side training, and enabling a people-first culture. Brian also is a certified trainer for VitalSmarts in the courses called Crucial Conversations and Influencer.

Prior to serving in his current role, Brian spent 21 years on active duty in the United States Air Force, for which his last assignment was as commandant and director of a fully accredited leadership school.

Brian earned his bachelor’s degree in logistics management and his master’s degree in human resources from Trident University. Both degrees were achieved during active duty in the Air Force, at times while serving on deployment. Brian also acquired three A.A.S degrees – in transportation, human resources and instruction of technology.
