Laurie Butz, president and CEO of Capital Credit Union since November 2021, brings over 35 years of business and financial services expertise to her role. Her distinguished career spans senior leadership roles in HR, organizational development, training, sales administration, investments and insurance services across both profit and nonprofit sectors.
A tireless advocate for community well-being, Laurie has chaired the boards of YMCA of the Fox Cities, United Way Fox Cities, and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fox Valley. Currently, she serves on the boards of the Greater Green Bay Chamber of Commerce, New North and Goodwill of NCW, and on the advisory board for the business school at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.
Laurie holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from UW-Green Bay and a master’s degree in business administration from UW Oshkosh. Her Certified Chief Executive (CCE) designation through the Credit Union Executives Society (CUES) underscores her leadership abilities. Additionally, she is a certified Six Sigma Green Belt, a further testament to her commitment to excellence.
In 2022, Laurie received the Beta Gamma Sigma honor from UW Oshkosh, recognizing her outstanding achievements in business. The Lifelong Achievement Athena Award from the Fox Cities Chamber of Commerce further celebrates her impactful journey. Recently, she was named a 2024 Titan 100 for the state of Wisconsin.
