About Matthew J. Stollak

Matthew J. Stollak teaches both undergraduate and graduate courses in human resource management, organizational behavior, diversity, and business statistics. He has been a member of the St. Norbert faculty since 2002.

Stollak was the 2006 recipient of the national SHRM Student Chapter Advisor of the Year, the 2007 Green Bay Area SHRM Chapter Member of the Year and was awarded the 2010 Green Bay Area SHRM Career Achievement Award. Most recently, he was one of 182 named to the “2020 Most Inclusive HR Influencer” list.

Matthew has served with the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) at the local, state, regional and national levels. Among these activities, he served as the president of the Green Bay Area SHRM in 2006-2007 and was the co-chair of the Wisconsin State SHRM Conference in 2009 and 2018. He also has served as the chapter advisor of the award-winning SNC SHRM Student Chapter. Stollak has also served on the social media team for the SHRM Annual Conference, HR Technology Conference and WorkHuman Conference.

Scholarship and research interests

Stollak conducts research on the impact of social media on human resource practices as well as the use of HR technology. He has published in the Journal of Management and Marketing Studies, the Journal of Behavioral Studies in Business, Western Journal of Human Resource Management and others. In addition, he has been an active blogger for his personal blog, “True Faith HR,” as well as for numerous human resource industry publications.
