About Kevin Quinn

Kevin Quinn joined St. Norbert College in 1994. Before entering the academy, he worked in private industry, in aerospace and medical imaging, later earning his Ph.D. in energy and environmental economics from University of Illinois-Chicago. He has also taught courses at Marquette University, Loyola University Chicago, where he received his undergraduate degree in Physics and Mathematics, and at UIC where he also earned an MBA in Economics and Marketing. He is a frequent guest economist in local and national media, and is author or editor of numerous academic articles and books, including Sports and Their Fans and The Economics of the National Football League: The State of the Art. Quinn is regularly featured in local, regional and national media. He does interviews on the business workings of the NFL and the Green Bay Packers. With the NFL Draft coming to Green Bay in 2025, Quinn will be highly sought-after by the media.

In 2014, following a variety of administrative positions at St. Norbert, Dr. Quinn was named as the founding dean of the college’s new Donald J. Schneider School for Business & Economics. He served in that role until 2017 when he was selected as the 8th president of Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Under Dr. Quinn’s leadership, Aquinas was recognized for its navigation through COVID challenges, while successfully completing the largest fundraising campaign in its history. Aquinas became ranked for the first time ever among the best National Liberal Arts Colleges by U.S. News & World Report during Dr. Quinn’s tenure, which also saw record student retention, successful reaccreditation by the Higher Learning Commission, and the development and implementation of comprehensive institutional strategic and facility master plans.

In the fall of 2022, Dr. Quinn returned to the classroom and the St. Norbert Economics faculty. He has since stepped back into his role as Dean of the Schneider School of Business and Economics where he guides the business faculty and curriculum at SNC as well as our graduate programs.
