John Raacke is a strong supporter of working with undergraduate students on research and enjoys taking students to regional and professional conferences to not only present their research but to make connections in the field. In the last few years, his students have traveled to San Antonio, Oklahoma City, Denver, Chicago, Washington, D.C., San Francisco and Albuquerque to present their work. Many of these students have been accepted into master’s and doctoral programs at institutions including the University of Nebraska, Creighton University, Kansas State University, the University of Kansas, the University of Nevada – Las Vegas, North Carolina State, Michigan State, the University of Missouri, Wichita State University and the University of Oklahoma.
Prior to joining the faculty at SNC, Raacke served as chair and professor in the department of criminal justice at Fort Hays State University, associate dean of the college of arts and sciences, academic affairs administrative fellow, and chair of the internal review board at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke.
John’s primary research interests involve the impact of social networking sites on behavior, team decision-making, and jury decision-making.
