Brenda Busch ’93 MLS ’13 was fortunate to return “home” to her alma mater and become part of the St. Norbert College team in 2014 as the associate director of graduate recruitment. In this role, she is tasked with helping build the MBA program for the Donald J. Schneider School of Business & Economics.
Prior to joining the team at SNC, Brenda worked at Bay Industries Inc. for 15 years in accounting/finance and software training roles. Her career started in the non-profit world, where she spent five years on the management team at the Greater Green Bay YMCA.
Originally a self-professed skeptic of the results from her Strengths Finder assessment after they showed empathy as her top strength, Brenda now takes great pride in these results (empathy, input, responsibility, learner and positivity came in at the top). Her exceptional ability to empathize has been a tremendous asset in her professional roles, especially in graduate admission as she fully appreciates that an adult student’s journey is unique. Brenda finds great pleasure in doing what she loves on a daily basis: meeting and building relationships with talented professionals in the northeast Wisconsin business community and encouraging them to pursue life-long learning at an institution she loves. Brenda has always considered the SNC campus to be a home of sorts, a place that has been a sanctuary in challenging times, a place of relationship building and an environment that has continually inspired her to learn.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Brenda sits on the board of Definitely De Pere, a Wisconsin Main Street program, providing perspective and insight as a current downtown De Pere resident. She is also a citizen member of the City of De Pere’s Plan Commission. And continuing to be motivated by her love of all things De Pere, Brenda recently joined the board of De Pere Sister Cities.
